I'll let you know if I can get anything to work.Looking at people who popped achievements in this recently, everyone I looked at had just registered on TA the same day. I flagged it, only to find out that many, many people have flagged these achievements in the past, and they are leaving them as obtainable because people are unlocking them! What?! Someone completed the game yesterday! I will continue to write people and try to figure out what's going on.
So, I would say that this game is completely unobtainable now, unless someone on the casual team is willing to put in just a bit of work to get these working again. And, I don't think there is an Android version older than 2.8.4 (correct me if I'm wrong, but 2.8.4 is the oldest APK I can find).
I wrote one of the original devs and he responded saying he was "humbled to hear that people still love the original that we created 10 years ago", but said, since he no longer works on the game, he would "ask that casual team to consider, but don’t know if it will have any effect, as they have their own goals and priorities." I have tried various techniques to see if I could get any information on how to get it to work again (packet sniffing, route tracing, using different versions, changing addresses in the host file to try to force the sign in to work, etc.), and it seems like the ability to log in to Xbox has been completely removed from the game.
